It's been awhile!

So it's been awhile since my last post... let's just say I haven't really felt like it.I have had a rough and busy month. This last weekend Ryan and I went to St. Louis and left the kids in Columbia with a babysitter. Well I actually freaked out about leaving Kaylee there too so I ended up letting her go to Grandma and Pap Daddy's house. I don't know what my problem was, but I am glad that I decided to have Kaylee go there anyway, I think she had a fun time being one on one with the grandparents and Aunt Tessa.

So Ryan and I went to six flags on Saturday, it was a lot of fun and very hot. We then went out to eat at Outback and went to see Narnia II Prince Caspian. I liked it, I think it followed the book pretty well. We stayed the night at John's house and then went back home to gather the kids. I was happy to see them cause I did actually miss them! lol...

Hmm.. what else is new? Matthew and Maverick are in big boy beds now. I decided to put them in big beds after Matthew bounced so high in the crib that he flipped out onto the floor and landed on his neck. That was a little scary! So I didn't want anyone to break their necks so onto big boy beds for them. It was hard the first night because of course they didn't want to stay in their beds but then the second night only Maverick (of course) got up several times. Now we are having issues because Maverick wants to climb in bed with Matthew and sleep and Matthew screams because he doesn't want Maverick to sleep with him. Yeah! joys of having twins.

Kaylee had a birthday party last Saturday.. OMG I can't believe she is four now. I feel old. No really she had a great birthday party, four of her friends came over. She is really into the disney princesses so she got the rest of the disney barbies you know Jasmine, Ariel, Snow white, Cinderella, Aurora and Bell.

Oh and I think I finally won the battle of "please let's get rid of Cooper!" We got home from our trip yesterday to find that Cooper had chewed through our AC unit's cord so it no longer can be plugged in and he chewed through our hose. He has already chewed so many things up this summer. I think I had to buy three new pairs of shoes because he chewed up the boys shoes and he also chewed up a pair of kaylees shoes. Let alone all the toys and balls he has destroyed. I think after yesterday when Coop chewed our AC cord up Ryan finally got the message or at least understood where I was coming from. He told me he was going to sell Cooper.. I didn't even have to say anything! I know Ryan will miss him, but he just doesn't have the time for Cooper, he needs to be trained and ran everyday, so it's probably better for Coop too.

I can't think of anything else new that has gone on... but I will soon post some new pictures to our blog. I have some cute ones!

Our trip

So as some of you know we went to Utah on Friday. It was a short trip but it was fun to be without the kids for a weekend. They stayed with my mom and it sounds like they had fun and my parents were ready to send them back! :) My boys are good but they keep you on your toes! So if you are wondering why we went to Utah... one of Ryans friends from his mission whose name is Micah got married and Ryan was one of the groomsmen I guess you would say. The guys wore these bright lime green shirts and the girls wore puple shirts. Kind of different colors but they put them together well. We stayed with Ike one of his other mission buddies at his grandma's house. It was alot of fun. Ryan of course was living it up because it had been a long time since he had seen these guys. I was really happy they all had wives because I couldn't really jump into the conversations about Jamaica. We were the oldest couple out of the group and that was kind of weird! Only one other couple had kids and they only had one and he was three months old.
We came back on Sunday and did not get back to our house until 5:00 in the morning and then had to leave at 6:00 to go the the Lake to sign on the land we just bought for the business. Needless to say.. I am still catching up on sleep.

We got our family pictures taken at Sears.. here's how they turned out.

Ryan's big fish!

Here are some pictures of Ryans big fish he caught the other day. I think the smallest one was just over 5 pounds and the biggest two were 7 and 71/2 pounds. They were pretty big! I think he had a really good time.

Bath Time

I love bath time! As you can see my kiddos love bath time as well. The boys love water so I am glad that it's starting to warm up so we can go to the pool. They will have a real fun time this year.

Kaylee's first hunting trip

Hello again!

I just had to post this picture. Kaylee went turkey hunting with Ryan about a week and a half ago. She looked so cute! She was extremely tired though. Ryan said that when he woke her up she was really excited. Then they got to the place they were going to hunt and he had to carry her all the way out there. When they sat down she informed him that she was really cold and wanted to go home. LOL! :)

Needless to say it wasn't a very good first trip out to the woods. The problem was she was super excited so didn't go to bed until around 1:00 am and got up at 4:30 or 5:00. Not the smartest thing to do with a three year old.

Next time she will have to get some more sleep. She is excited to go again though! Hopefully next time they have more luck.

Sleepy Kids

It's always nice when they all conk out at the same time! My favorite thing to do sometimes is just go for a ride because this is what happens :) and then I get 10 minutes of peace and quite!

We were approved for our loan!

Hello everyone!

If all of you don't know yet, we are starting Downhill Ruckus and we just found out that we were approved for the loan, so that means we will sign on the land tomorrow and finally be able to get started!

Yeah I am so excited! We changed plans a littlebit. We aren't going to open the main site this year. Instead we are going to open next March. This gives us time to make our site at the Lake look great. Yes, it's going to be at the Lake of the Ozarks.

So you may ask what are we going to do until March? Well we are going to be doing different events, like half-times at MIZZOU games and other things like that. This will help advertise our site for when it opens in March.

It should be great and we are really excited to get things going. Things are looking good for the business. I will keep everyone updated!
