Another funny Kay saying

So the other day I made a grand lunch you know corn dogs, french fries and green beans. :) Kaylee likes mustard and I always forget but I put some on her plate and ketchup. When she came to the table she was so excited she said... Oh mustard!! My personal favorite, but mom I'm afraid that I don't like green beans anymore. Who is this kid? It made me laugh cause she sounded so grown up when she said it.

Name wars

So Ryan and Kaylee have name wars almost everyday. It's really funny. Well the other day Ryan was calling Kay KG for Kaylee the Giant. She was getting so mad. Well later that evening I set her up to watch a movie from netflix on our computer. (Too fun great way to rent movies, I just let her check them out online and watch them instantly!) Anyway so after I set her movie up, she said

Kay "Mom please promise me you will tell dad I love him."
Me: "ok I will tell him"
Kay: "But mom please promise me you won't tell him that he's a skunk"
Me: "Ok I promise I won't tell him."
Kay: Wait, but mom please promise me you will tell him I love him, but don't tell him he's a toilet."
Me: "Ok I promise I won't tell him he's a toilet."
Kay: "But wait please, please promise me you will tell him I love him, but don't tell him he's a skunk or a toilet."
Me: "OK I promise"

What a crazy girl. I thought this conversation was really funny, if only you could have seen her face.

Hang man/Challenge

Hello everyone, just been updating my blog today, since I have a little bit of time while kids are sleeping. So if you scroll down to the bottom of my blog you can play hangman. I know, but it's kind of fun.

I am getting into the Christmas spirit as you can tell I changed my background and added some Christmas music. So I am also going to put a little challenge out there to those who read my blog. I challenge everyone starting the day you read this to do something for someone everyday. This doesn't mean you have to buy something for someone. This is the time for giving and you can give in many ways. A simple smile to someone who doesn't expect it, a phone call, a letter...not an email a real letter with a postage stamp to someone. It can be anything small or big whatever is in your hearts desire :) Do this everyday til the end of the year and maybe you can make it a habit. I know by doing this you will bless someone as well as yourself. Involve your kids to, let them color something for someone and then take it to a friends house or do a secret santa, you know knock on someones door and run. The kids should get a kick out of that. If your kids are too young make cookies with them and let them dump the ingrediants, I know it gets messy but you will all have fun. Here is an idea take a whole day without doing "mommy things" and only do kid things, you will be surprised how much fun you will have and no don't stop to put a load of laundry in until your kids are asleep.

So that's it! That is my challenge. Yesterday I made cookies with my kids, of course my boys are too little to understand what to do yet, so I got a bowl of flour and gave all three of my kids measuring cups and let them dump it into another bowl, then I measured the correct amount into the a different bowl, they had fun and thought they were helping. There was flour everywhere on everyone, but not to bad to clean up.

Alright everyone good luck and let me know how you do!

It's Autumn time!

It's Autumn time, it's Autumn time, the leaves are falling down!
We had a lot of fun this day. My kids, daycare kids and some neighbor kids all played in our yard raking leaves. They were getting bored so I made a little route down our hill on the side of our house. I raked all the leaves to the bottom of the hill, then I got all the little bikes and cars we had and everyone took turns rolling down the hill and smashing into the leaves. It was a lot of fun! I even did it. They did this for hours.

Our outdoor adventures!

This summer we went hiking a lot with the kids. It was great fun! It's great the boys were able to walk to whole time instead of us carrying them. Matthew however is a slow poke because he likes to stop and pick up all the rocks along the way. He will seriously have 10 rocks in each hand and still try to pick up some more.

The boys never want to hold still for pictures as you can see, but we tried anyway. I can't wait til it gets warmer to hike again. Next year should be even more fun!

The trash can

Maverick and Matthew snuck outside the other day and we had this trashcan filled with water and soap. Maverick climbed into it despite the fact that it was a little bit cold outside. Yeah... he had a blast. It was pretty funny.

Halloween

Here is a picture from Halloween. Ryan was a cowboy, Maverick was a lion, Kaylee a peacock, Matthew a puppy and I was a witch. It was fun and I think they had a good time.

Maverick's fit.

So I took the kids outside the other day to rake leaves and Maverick here is throwing a fit because he wanted the rake. We are big floppers these days. At least he had a soft landing!

Kaylee the photographer!

So I just found these... Kaylee got a hold of the camera so I thought I would share some of her masterpieces. We have some lovely feet that are in fact Kaylees. A stuffed triceratops dinosaur. A beautiful picture of a sippy cup. Her newest and bestest friend Beily pronounced Bailey. Some pictures of Matthew and Maverick... and of course a half picture of Dora which is her pillowcase. Too funny!

Potty Time!

So this is how my boys use the potty at our house! Yes I know we have accomplished so much. They love to drag the little potty into the bathtub every time they take a bath. So for now I am going to have to put it up until they are a little older. Yes I have no desire to try and potty train them right now. It seems kind of pointless unless they can talk a little bit.

My little girly Matthew! Kaylee dressed him up in her shirt.. He looked too funny defiantly worth taking a picture of. He thought he was funny because when I looked at him, he just smiled and laughed.

Hello all! So I finally have DSL thanks to my new wonderful friend Deena! Deena and her husband just moved out to midway and she told me she could DSL. Centurytel told me I couldn't have DSL without paying for the landline... well I guess now I can. Yeah!!! I can do alot of things now and faster!!! It is great. Especially for school, it used to take me 20 minutes to post a comment, now it takes less then five.

I just started a new semester in school... I think it will be 10 years before I actually graduate, but oh well right? I have been a bum as of late. I don't ever really feel like doing anything. My kids are the ones who suffer :( I need to get back on track with my life. I broke out in hives two days ago and I think they are starting to fade away. Stress? I don't know I guess I will blame it on stress. It looked gross though! Once our room downstairs is finished and I can actually get my house in order again I think I will calm down a little bit.

So for those of you who don't know... my little brother and his wife are going to have a baby! I am excited! My older sis ran away to Alaska.. poo on her! Now she can't go see Twilight with me..:( Yes I am pouting cause I miss her! And my best friend Ja nay-nay aka Jenny.. is still in Arizona and falling in love! Good for her it's about time! Just kidding Jen. Everyone has moved away and left us Drysdales alone in Missouri. That's ok though. Now I just need to get some money and go for a vacation.. hmm. I like the sound of that.

Anyway... Things are good, it's getting colder and colder though so I have to find some activities for my kids to do inside. I have been trapping my boys in their room/playroom because as soon as I let them out, they are climbing, dumping, and who knows what else they are gonna do. They are very active little boys. They loved Trick or Treating after they finally understood what you were suppose to do. At first they kept trying to go into the houses, then they thought they had to trade candy, but after watching their big sis, they were ready. We didn't stay out too long though besides they don't really need a sugar high. Nothing like adding sugar on top of crazy hyper... I have a picture I need to add of us in our costumes. The kids looked so cute.

Well that is it for now nothing really exciting has gone on around here just the day to day... so I will update again soon.

Getting ready for bed

Ryan is playing with the kids before they have to go to bed. They were all laughing so hard. It was the best!

Kaylee's boyfriend!

He is not really her boyfriend, but they had fun. This little boy is one of my good friends son. She needed me to watch him one week while she was on call in Columbia. His name is Aiden. They got along really well. I was watching them jump on the trampoline and they kept posing for me so I started taking some pictures. He is a really cute kid full of curly hair like Kaylee. He was a good kid I liked watching him. Kaylee was a fan as well as you can see.

Kaylee, the butterfly

Kaylee got her face painted during the twilight festival. It was fun, but the lines were soooo long. She thought this was pretty cool, I think it was worth standing in line, just to see how excited she was.

Hello!

Hello, It has been a long time since I have posted anything. I have a lot to update so I will be posting some older pics as well as some new ones. Things have been rough for me for the last few months, so I have slacked off a little. As some of you might know we are building our master bedroom downstairs and so it seems that ever since we started that our whole house became a disaster and I can't ever seem to keep anything clean. It should be done by next month I hope anyway then we can rearrange everything and get it back to normal.

The boys had their 2 year birthday I can't believe it!! They have gotten so big. They don't talk a whole lot yet but I can understand their language. They do have their own little language. Ah me is what is sounds like means they want a drink or food. They have other little sayings too. It is fun to watch them grow and learn. Maverick for the most part right now is my snuggler. He loves his mama. He can be very sweet to. When we go shopping he helps put things onto the conveyor belt or hands things to me. One day baby Aiden (3 month old I watch) was crying and Maverick saw his bottle and grabbed it and took it downstairs to where Aiden was at. (Maverick didn't know I was following him) He went down by Aiden and laid the bottle next to him and said there you go and patted his back. It was very cute and very sweet. Maverick can be a stinker too though. Matthew is my sneaky one. He is always getting into something. For the most part he is a Daddy's boy, but he has his moments when he only wants me. He is the best at blowing kisses to me at night. He seems to enjoy making Maverick mad. He likes to hit Maverick on the head with toys or take the toys that Maverick is playing with and run around laughing while Maverick is chasing him crying.... yeah he is a real stinker sometimes. He has gotten so bad that he will hit my daycare kids if I have them all in the playroom. So right now our playroom is just for my boys. Their favorite things right now are any kind of animals, but especially Dinosaurs. They love to make the animal noises and then they also love to play with their choo choos. I bought a cool set at a garage sale and they play with those every day. Matthew has to have at least two or three to sleep with every night.

Kaylee has been very good as well. She is a talker!! She would talk your ear off none stop all day long if you let her. As many of you know I lost one daycare kid which was Taylor who was Kaylee's best friend. She misses her lots and talks about her a lot. Kaylee was pretty lonely after she moved. She moved to South Carolina so there are no visits we can make to say hi again. I was lucky enough though because my neighbor called me one day and said that someone had moved into the neighborhood and needed her to watch their 4 year old daughter part time. She told them to ask me. So now I have a another 4 year old girl. Her name is Beily pronounced Bailey. Her birthday is in June so she is only a month older then Kaylee. They have become great friends.. They are both head strong so they fight more then Kaylee and Taylor fought, but it has been great. Kaylee is going to have a sleep over with her tonight actually. We also met some of our neighbors who both have 4 year old little girls. We went two weeks ago to one of their houses for a camp out and roasted marshmellows and hotdogs. I took the boys and they kept trying to climb into the fire. Kaylee stayed by herself with them in the tent all night. She did very goood and then she came home the next day. She had a blast. It has been great to get to know some more girls around here for her.

Onto me and Ryan.... I started school again and it has been hard keeping up, but I am doing ok so far. Ryan has been a big help. He helps with our kids and gets them to bed, he helps with the daycare kids when I need him to as well. He has been superdad for the last few months. Also for this week Ryan has stayed home with our kids and our daycare kids so that I could go out and hunt... Haha that is funny. I knew he really wanted to go, but he let me go anyway. I ended up seeing 14 deer the first morning and I should have shot this nice buck, but I got scared. I was pulled back on him but I don't think I could have hit him so I let it go, but I should have shot it at 30 yards, I just didn't think I would have got him. I did shoot a button buck though and then yesterday night I shot a doe, but I guess I must have put a poor shot on her. Ryan is going to try and track her today. I am going to go shoot my bow here in a few to see if my sight is off. Ryan called me this morning and said he shot a buck, but I haven't heard from him since so I hope he finds it.

Ryan and I had our five year anniversary. He planned a huge day which turned out really good. He bought me a new ring kind of an upgrade from my old one. I really like it. I will have to take a picture. Josie our lab had puppies. Yep 7 puppies, well she actually had 8 puppies but one was born dead. It was so tiny! I had to freeze it then throw it away, it was sad. We have given all the puppies away except two. One female and one male. The male is suppose to go to someone from Ryan's work, but he hasn't seen him yet so hopefully they still take him and yesterday I got a call from someone saying they might want the last pup. She was my favorite we nicknamed her Charlie. We were going to keep her, but decided not very smart right now. The kids enjoyed having the pups around. Kaylee was their adopted mother I swear. For a while she had a different puppy inside everynight sleeping with it. I didn't mind she took care of them really well. I think last night Ryan decided to get rid of Josie. She has been tearing things up lately and I don't know what her problem is. I don't know what we are going to do with her. Coop is still around but he has actually been pretty good. Josie has been more of a pain then Cooper lately.

Well that seems enough to update about right now.. next time I will have to write sooner.

I'm very sneaky sir!

I took this picture last night... Maverick was refusing to stay in his bed it was an ongoing battle til 10:30 I think. One of the times he snuck out of his bed and went into my room. I heard him so I went to see what he was doing and when I went into my room, he was standing completely still in the corner with this bucket on his head. He didn't even look at me. So I pretended I didn't see him and I walked a little further into the room and then started to walk back out and he stood completely still the whole time. It was so funny... so I took a picture. I don't know why he just thought he could be invisible under a clear box. If you can't tell .. Maverick is my difficult child for the most part. Matthew is what my mom would say my angel baby. He still has his mischievious moments but he always goes to bed and doesn't climb out and he listens when I tell him to do something. He is really great! Maverick is great too he just needs a little more um.. lets say direction. Maverick is very smart though, he thinks about things and figures out how to do them whereas Matthew if he can't do it he will give up and move on.

For example the other day Maverick saw a drink on the counter and went up and tried to reach it on his tipi toes. He couldn't get it so he went and got the stool and put it where he thought he could get the drink and then climbed up and realized he still couldn't reach it. He then to a step back and looked where the drink was and went back and moved the stool and then took a step back again to make sure he lined it up right the he ran and climbed up and grabbed his drink.
Now if this had been Matthew he would have went and stood on his tipi toes and tried to grab it and then after when he realized he wouldn't be able to get it, he would either go on and do something else or throw a fit. So it is fun to watch them and see their differences and their similarities.

My two handsome boys

Like I said the other day... Maverick keeps climbing into bed with Matthew. This night Matthew didn't mind sharing his bed and I was able to get a photo. They are so cute when they are sleeping! lol :)

Kaylee and the Kitty Cats

We went to Sammi's house the other day (Sammi is one of my daycare kids) and we got to feed the goats. Kaylee loved giving them their bottles. Their neighbor had kittens too and somehow Kaylee managed to pick all of the up by herself. Yeah I turned around to see the massive amount of kittens in her arms. Poor kitties! The boys loved playing on the slide except the didn't want to go down, they wanted to climb up. Sammi was following. It was fun going over there and the kids had a blast.

It's been awhile!

So it's been awhile since my last post... let's just say I haven't really felt like it.I have had a rough and busy month. This last weekend Ryan and I went to St. Louis and left the kids in Columbia with a babysitter. Well I actually freaked out about leaving Kaylee there too so I ended up letting her go to Grandma and Pap Daddy's house. I don't know what my problem was, but I am glad that I decided to have Kaylee go there anyway, I think she had a fun time being one on one with the grandparents and Aunt Tessa.

So Ryan and I went to six flags on Saturday, it was a lot of fun and very hot. We then went out to eat at Outback and went to see Narnia II Prince Caspian. I liked it, I think it followed the book pretty well. We stayed the night at John's house and then went back home to gather the kids. I was happy to see them cause I did actually miss them! lol...

Hmm.. what else is new? Matthew and Maverick are in big boy beds now. I decided to put them in big beds after Matthew bounced so high in the crib that he flipped out onto the floor and landed on his neck. That was a little scary! So I didn't want anyone to break their necks so onto big boy beds for them. It was hard the first night because of course they didn't want to stay in their beds but then the second night only Maverick (of course) got up several times. Now we are having issues because Maverick wants to climb in bed with Matthew and sleep and Matthew screams because he doesn't want Maverick to sleep with him. Yeah! joys of having twins.

Kaylee had a birthday party last Saturday.. OMG I can't believe she is four now. I feel old. No really she had a great birthday party, four of her friends came over. She is really into the disney princesses so she got the rest of the disney barbies you know Jasmine, Ariel, Snow white, Cinderella, Aurora and Bell.

Oh and I think I finally won the battle of "please let's get rid of Cooper!" We got home from our trip yesterday to find that Cooper had chewed through our AC unit's cord so it no longer can be plugged in and he chewed through our hose. He has already chewed so many things up this summer. I think I had to buy three new pairs of shoes because he chewed up the boys shoes and he also chewed up a pair of kaylees shoes. Let alone all the toys and balls he has destroyed. I think after yesterday when Coop chewed our AC cord up Ryan finally got the message or at least understood where I was coming from. He told me he was going to sell Cooper.. I didn't even have to say anything! I know Ryan will miss him, but he just doesn't have the time for Cooper, he needs to be trained and ran everyday, so it's probably better for Coop too.

I can't think of anything else new that has gone on... but I will soon post some new pictures to our blog. I have some cute ones!

Our trip

So as some of you know we went to Utah on Friday. It was a short trip but it was fun to be without the kids for a weekend. They stayed with my mom and it sounds like they had fun and my parents were ready to send them back! :) My boys are good but they keep you on your toes! So if you are wondering why we went to Utah... one of Ryans friends from his mission whose name is Micah got married and Ryan was one of the groomsmen I guess you would say. The guys wore these bright lime green shirts and the girls wore puple shirts. Kind of different colors but they put them together well. We stayed with Ike one of his other mission buddies at his grandma's house. It was alot of fun. Ryan of course was living it up because it had been a long time since he had seen these guys. I was really happy they all had wives because I couldn't really jump into the conversations about Jamaica. We were the oldest couple out of the group and that was kind of weird! Only one other couple had kids and they only had one and he was three months old.
We came back on Sunday and did not get back to our house until 5:00 in the morning and then had to leave at 6:00 to go the the Lake to sign on the land we just bought for the business. Needless to say.. I am still catching up on sleep.

We got our family pictures taken at Sears.. here's how they turned out.

Ryan's big fish!

Here are some pictures of Ryans big fish he caught the other day. I think the smallest one was just over 5 pounds and the biggest two were 7 and 71/2 pounds. They were pretty big! I think he had a really good time.

Bath Time

I love bath time! As you can see my kiddos love bath time as well. The boys love water so I am glad that it's starting to warm up so we can go to the pool. They will have a real fun time this year.

Kaylee's first hunting trip

Hello again!

I just had to post this picture. Kaylee went turkey hunting with Ryan about a week and a half ago. She looked so cute! She was extremely tired though. Ryan said that when he woke her up she was really excited. Then they got to the place they were going to hunt and he had to carry her all the way out there. When they sat down she informed him that she was really cold and wanted to go home. LOL! :)

Needless to say it wasn't a very good first trip out to the woods. The problem was she was super excited so didn't go to bed until around 1:00 am and got up at 4:30 or 5:00. Not the smartest thing to do with a three year old.

Next time she will have to get some more sleep. She is excited to go again though! Hopefully next time they have more luck.

Sleepy Kids

It's always nice when they all conk out at the same time! My favorite thing to do sometimes is just go for a ride because this is what happens :) and then I get 10 minutes of peace and quite!

We were approved for our loan!

Hello everyone!

If all of you don't know yet, we are starting Downhill Ruckus and we just found out that we were approved for the loan, so that means we will sign on the land tomorrow and finally be able to get started!

Yeah I am so excited! We changed plans a littlebit. We aren't going to open the main site this year. Instead we are going to open next March. This gives us time to make our site at the Lake look great. Yes, it's going to be at the Lake of the Ozarks.

So you may ask what are we going to do until March? Well we are going to be doing different events, like half-times at MIZZOU games and other things like that. This will help advertise our site for when it opens in March.

It should be great and we are really excited to get things going. Things are looking good for the business. I will keep everyone updated!
